Our mothers had it tough. But times have changed, or so, I thought.

As a business professional with over 2 decades of healthcare experience, I thought it would be better now.

A survey amongst 120 women to understand their menopause journey revealed that women were still feeling unsupported and unheard. Seeking advice in hushed tones from friends or at best a visit to the physician who brushed it off as “just a phase” was the norm.

An empathetic understanding of the physical, mental and emotional aspects of menopause was amiss.

Women obviously deserved to be heard and supported. Pauseforward was thus born.
